Delusional London Mayor Downplays Terrorism

"There’s no reason to be alarmed....
I’m reassured that we are one of the safest global cities in the world, if not the safest global city in the world.
--London Mayor Sadiq Khan,.

Really?
Delusional London Mayor Sadiq Khan is playing with words in claiming that London is the safest 'global' city in the world.
I don't know where he gets his stats, but a brief internet search shows that London doesn't even make the list of the top 15 safest large cities. Both Montreal and Toronto made the list and surprisingly even New York City, but no London.  Link

At any rate with two deadly terrorist attacks in London this year that have killed 13 and injured scores, when it comes to terrorist victims London rates worse than Tel Aviv or Jerusalem this year.

Who of us doesn't believe that London, like Paris are the two most dangerous western cities vis-a-vis Islamic terrorism.
Both cities are hotbeds of Islamic fundamentalism.

"Two very different responses from the Mayor of London and the the Prime Minister. London Mayor Sadiq Khan, the first Muslim to hold that office, did manage to acknowledge the damage which had been done, but immediately fell back on a well practiced line indicating perhaps a bit more optimism than is warranted. This segment from Fox News includes the Mayor’s comments." Link

President Trump  couldn't resist.

So what response will our fearless Prime Minister Trudeau offer?
Methinks he will ask parrot the nonsense of Sadiq Khan.

  1. Wrong topic, Phil! The title of this blog is No Dogs or Anglophones, not No Muslims or ISIS!

This is a Quebec-based blog and something far closer to the theme of this blog just broke open on Friday.

Fuck Mayor Genghis Khan. Who cares? To the old geezer who prior to your hiatus figured Couillard would be a savior, YOU'RE WRONG! I TOLD YOU THEN YOU WERE DREAMING IN TECHNICOLOR! I tolja so I tolja so I tolja tolja tolja so!

End of my response to this displaced topic!

    Mr. Sauga

    1. Whoa there, Sauga. Who peed on your cornflakes this morning? It's Phil's blog, therefore he can write about any topic he chooses and you, of course, can choose not to read the ones that don't interest you.

  2. I reckon Trudeau has his "Let's fight extremism with tolerance and kindness" tweet saved in his draft folder. He's just scrolling through his recent batch a selfies before submitting the tweet.

  3. You are taking Khan's words out of context just like Trump did. He was referring to the increased police prescence on the streets after the attack. You should delete this entry, not up to your usual standards.
“My message to Londoners and visitors to our great city is to be calm and vigilant today. You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers. There is no reason to be alarmed by this. We are the safest global city in the world. You saw last night as a consequence of our planning, our preparation, the rehearsals that take place, the swift response from the emergency services tackling the terrorists and also helping the injured.”

    1. Sorry, you are repeating the newly crafted CNN/ alt-Liberal nonsense response (that the mayor's words were taken out of context) The London mayor told Londoners not to be alarmed by the accrued police presence in the city, that this is somehow the 'new normal'
      Sorry...
It is plenty to be worried about, to pretend otherwise is whistling through the graveyard.
The accrued police presence is something to be very, very worried and frightened over.
It means that London is indeed under siege.

According to the Liberal media and the apologetic politicians like the London mayor, (Trump and Theresa May excepted) Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Muslims and that there is essentially nothing really to be done about it other than to grin and bear the occasional attacks.
The mayor and others alt-Liberals are trying to pretend that the situation is well in hand when we all know that it is not.
You are parroting the CNN/alt-Liberal rebuttal about the London mayor. His attempt to downplay what happened may be understandable, but it doesn't reflect reality.

  4. Congratulations Mr. Berlach. Your sentiment echoes perfectly with the President of the United States.

  5. My views will be controversial but I think the whole threat of terrorism is overblown. Your chance of being killed by an islamic terrorist are miniscule even in a city like London or Paris. Just look it up..there are way way more people being murdered in any western nation than by terrorists. Yet do we have a department of homeland murder or billions and billions of funding going to stop murders..why not? There are 16,000 murders in the USA each year..that is a huuuuge problem and much more worrying to me than the odd person killed by a terrorist.

Meanwhile we the western nations in their bombing campaigns against Iraq and Afghanistan along with drone strikes in Pakistain have killed thousands of innocent civilians which they always describe as collateral damage. Westerners are a bunch of hypocrites..we say next to nothing about the vastly greater number of people killed in middle east by our own military but then we absolutely freak out when a few people like us get killed by an islamic terrorist. And we are hypocritical in our coverage of terrorist attacks in western cities versus arab cities. How many times has this played out in the media..22 people die in Manchester at concert and 90 in Kabul and the media says next to nothing..some people are worth more than others.

I have always argued that the USA decision to attack Iraq and Afghanistan after 911 was only going to massively increase the hate towards the western world and eventually result in more terrorism against us and here we are. When you indiscriminately start bombing a nation and killing innocent people then you are going to create generations of new people who will do all in their power to get revenge. In my opinion Iraq and Afghanistan had nothing to do with 911..I believe Saudi Arabia had a lot to do with it and yet somehow the americans still treat them as friends..hmmm..
