    4. Just released some results from a Sunday poll : PLQ 85 seats!

    5. Did you know that there is on riding in Quebec that closes its polls before all the others?
It’s Îles-de-la-Madeleine where they are on the ATZ time, one hour ahead of the rest of the province.
It’s interesting because this riding may be a indicative of things to come. The PQ owned the riding but in the last election the Liberals were close behind.
Pauline never visited the once during the campaign, but Couillard went twice.. I think Pauline never out it on her schedule because she thought it was a lock.

The race is supposed to be tight and if the Libs win, it augers poorly for the PQ, the rest of the night.
      If the PQ holds, well……
      We’ll know soon enough.

    6. Couillard in early results has double PQ votes 9in Roberval

      ReplyDelete
    7. Results in from Îles-de-la-Madeleine coming in. g?
      64% LIb 31% Pq

      Is this a bellweather riding

    8. Editor your prediction seems very optimist.. Your numbers for Liberals and PQ are what CTV is predicting as maximum possible amount of ridings for the Liberals and the minimum for the PQ.

My prediction: Pauline won't have a job for very long.

      ReplyDelete
    9. Pauline looked haggard and frazzled this morning. She said to an interviewer that she has confidence Quebecers will make the right choice. I hope so too.

    17. RadCan has LIBS at 60 seat with a least 3 in the bag not reporting yet

      ReplyDelete
    18. Radio Canada called a Liberal government at 8:27pm. As of right now, Liberals have 50% of all votes. OMFG, so funny for all you pequistes and caqists.

      ReplyDelete
    19. These Pq ministers will very likely hold onto their seats.
Élaine Zakaïb, the PQ’s economic development minister...Richelieu
Bernard St.Arnuad, justice minister in Chambly
Yves-Francois Blanchet, the outgoing PQ environment minister
PQ higher education minister Pierre Duchesne in Borduas

      Nicolas Marceau in Rousseau
      Bernard Drainville,
      Alexandre Cloutier LAc St-Jean
      Sylvain Gaudreault. Jonquière;

      Stéphane Bergeron, Vercheres
      François Gendron. Abitibi-Ouest

      ReplyDelete
    21. Radio Canada reporters look so disappointed, lol

      ReplyDelete
    22. It is QLP majority government. CTV projects 66 seats for them.

IT'S OFFICIAL COUILLARD IS OUR NEW PREMIER!!!!

      ReplyDelete
    25. BTW The media making a big deal about Fatima Houda-Pepin running against Dr Gaétan Barrette in La Pinière.. But the truth is she’s polling@ 5%, while the CAQ is at 20% against 48% for LIBS.
      Much ado about nothing!

      ReplyDelete
    28. Official call from CTV, majority QLP government, 36 minutes in.

      ReplyDelete
    29. No, Gilles Duceppe is just saying the same old, same old. "Why don't we just join the United States?" Why do Canadians always think they can just jump past Puerto Rico and every other American holding, but more importantly we have "joined" the US in many ways, we call them NAFTA and NATO and the OAS and so many other ways.

      ReplyDelete
    30. Thanks Couillard for running a great campaign. I won't have to stay up until midnight this time around :)

      ReplyDelete
    31. and there it is. LIBERL MAJORITY I even called the time!!!!!!!!

      ReplyDelete
    32. Pauline Marios is on the second position in her riding

      ReplyDelete
    33. Ha! Ha! D'Arcy MGee not even reporting yet. Safest LIB riding in Qc

      ReplyDelete
    34. D’arcy McGee, is the most Jewish electoral district outside Israel, a riding composed of Hampstead and Cote St. Luc and a sliver of Montreal, a riding where more 70% voters are of the faith. There’s a small parcel of Montreal that accounts for the few PQ votes.
It is currently polling at 92% LIB.
Poor Yves Michaud!…..PQ will get the fewest votes here of any riding in QC.
BTW, my pediatrician (when I was a tot) Dr. Victor Goldbloom left his practice sometime in the sixties to become the first in an unbroken string of Lib. Jew. MNAs.

      ReplyDelete
    35. this isn't an election its a slaughter lol

On another note, why is the fucker Gilles Duceppe a panelist in an English medium?

      ReplyDelete
    43. Seems Marois may be in trouble in her own riding. Looks like the CAQ support went to the Liberals in the end.

No need for the FAT LADY to SING. Its ovaaahha for the PQ

      ReplyDelete

      Good riddance (hopefully)

      ReplyDelete
    50. 75/125 seats for QLP. 60% majority. Question, has any party had this kind of landslide majority in recent history?

      ReplyDelete
    51. Going to be able to go to bed earlier than I thought! Well done Dr. Couillard! Now, let's get some common sense back into quebec. Bet our trolls will leave us alone for awhile - at least I would hope so! Thanks Editor for all the hard work and your predictions were pretty damn close. What a relief - let's not give up on reminding Dr. Couillard that things have to change. Our work is just beginning!

And I agree Troy - why do CTV have that nut Duceppe on there? Who cares what he thinks; he's still living off Canadian pension money and we have to listen to his trash - yuck.

      ReplyDelete
    52. Very happy to see Diane de Courcy go down in flames.

    55. To the minorities in Quebec:

OK, everybody...breathe....breathe easy. There has been plenty of angst the last year, but I'm at least glad all my Quebec family, friends and contacts can now relax for the next four years.

If Couillard is as smart as his academic credentials, he'll start tomorrow with electoral reform and bring proper democracy back to Quebec...well...as close as Quebec will ever come to democracy.

Rejoice, but keep the following in mind:

DON'T expect Philippe Couillard to change a comma of Bill 101.

DON'T expect Philippe Couillard to make access to English schools one iota easier than it is right now...and it's NOT easy!

DON'T expect Philippe Couillard to direct Quebec government workers to speak to you in English, except where absolutely necessary.

DON'T expect Philippe Couillard to allow corporations to file Quebec tax returns in English anymore.

DON'T expect, for those who hold professional designations, to receive their association literature in English again.

DON'T expect the OQLF to disappear--not by a damn longshot.

DON'T expect the OQLF to suddenly stop picking on small businesses--not by a damn longshot.

Everybody: Breathe easy, but don't dream.

      ReplyDelete
    56. ... And Liseée, too, if trend holds.

      ReplyDelete
    59. Good call editor..I was hoping for a stronger showing from the caq but once again everyone fell back to the same old same old. We got rid of Popo...good riddance and the PQ for 4 years. But the Liberals have a horrible record with fiscal management..not sure Quebec will survive another 4 years of Liberal mismanagement..be careful for what you all wished for..

      2. I would have preferred to see this go to one extreme or the other. Either the PQ with a sweeping majority (so to eventually see Quebec kicked out of Canada) or decimated to the point of a so few seats, they lose official party status. It's still nice to see their numbers so low, but really, NOT low enough.

Problem is the PQ will be the official opposition, again. They'll stir up language, division and all the usual crap, forcing the hand of the PLQ to do their bidding. And in the end....they will come back again and grow, just like a cancer.

        Yep, bittersweet.
